These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Kahintochalo website at kahintochalo.comand the Kahintochalo trip-planning application (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by Anirudh (“Kahintochalo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), based in India. Please read these Terms carefully.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a group, you represent that you are authorized to accept these Terms for that group.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using it, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. The Service

Kahintochalo helps you plan trips — building itineraries, budgets, and packing lists, and sharing them with people you travel with. Some features use artificial intelligence to generate suggestions such as itineraries and recommendations.

AI suggestions are provided for convenience only. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date. They are not professional travel, financial, legal, medical, or safety advice. You are responsible for independently verifying any information — including prices, opening hours, visa and entry requirements, bookings, and local conditions — before relying on it or making any commitment.

4. Your account

You sign in using your Google account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that occurs under it. Notify us promptly at support@kahintochalo.com if you suspect unauthorized use. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or fraudulent purpose
Upload or share content that is illegal, infringing, harassing, or that violates the rights or privacy of others
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other users’ data, or our systems
Interfere with, disrupt, or place an unreasonable load on the Service
Scrape, harvest, or copy data from the Service except as expressly permitted
Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where this restriction is prohibited by law
Misuse invitations or collaboration features to send spam or unwanted messages

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create in the Service, such as your trips, itineraries, budgets, and lists (“Your Content”). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, and display Your Content solely to operate and provide the Service to you and the collaborators you invite.

You are responsible for Your Content and for any information about other people you add — including the email addresses you use to invite collaborators. You represent that you have the right to share that information and that doing so does not violate anyone’s rights or any law.

7. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party providers, including Google (sign-in), Supabase (data hosting), Vercel (hosting and analytics), Unsplash (cover images), and OpenStreetMap/CARTO (map tiles). Your use of features powered by these providers may also be subject to their terms. Cover images are sourced from Unsplash and remain subject to the Unsplash license and any applicable photographer credits. We are not responsible for third-party services or content.

8. Intellectual property

The Service itself — including its software, design, branding, the Kahintochalo name and logo, and all related content we provide — is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any right to use our branding without our prior written permission.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any content or AI suggestion will be accurate or reliable. You use the Service at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kahintochalo and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us to use the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or INR 1,000.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Kahintochalo and its operator from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party rights.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request deletion of your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification — will continue to apply.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that the courts located in [Your City], India will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under local law.

14. Changes to these terms
